Pub Royale

Pub Royale, located at 2049 West Division Street in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood, was a distinctive establishment that seamlessly blended British pub ambiance with Indian-inspired cuisine. Opened in 2015 by Heisler Hospitality, Pub Royale quickly gained acclaim for its innovative Anglo-Indian fare and an impressive selection of craft beers. The menu featured unique dishes such as lamb dumplings, butter paneer, and chana masala, alongside traditional pub favorites like burgers and chicken wings. The beverage program was equally notable, offering a curated list of beers from around the world and specialty cocktails, including boozy mango lassis and gin and tonics. Despite its popularity and recognition, including being named one of America’s 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon Appétit in 2016, Pub Royale closed its doors on June 25, 2022, following the sale of its building.
